Debasish Mishra, a native of a small town in Odisha called Bhawanipatna, derives immense pleasure from writing. Since his childhood, his ink is his sole solace. He equally enjoys writing poems and stories. He is the recipient of the Poesis Award of Excellence For Literature. His ink has featured in nationwide magazines like Competition Success Review, Competition Refresher, GK Refresher, GK Today, Ravenshavian and Utkal Bharati. Academically, he has won the inaugural Brindavan Mishra memorial award for being the best student of his district in 2006, by securing the 9th rank in the +2 arts stream of CHSE, Odisha.
His poems/stories have been published in various anthologies. An ex-banker, he resigned from service to devote more time to literature
